Winding Up An Amazing Year

What? Wait, when did it get to be the end of the year? What a year it’s been! We’ve tried new things, met new people, and had many wonderful adventures in thinking. As always, we like to wind things up by taking a look back at everything that kept us busy and smiling, and this year, there were all kinds of things to smile about.

We took part in a whole bunch of festivals and community events, including:

·        an Arts Milton Friendship project storytelling workshop

·        the Guelph Multicultural Festival

·        Imagine in the Park children’s art festival, Hamilton

·        the Eden Mills Writers’ Festival

·        a Superstars 2 Superheroes charity event

·        Culture Days, Milton

·        The Milton Santa Claus Parade

We were also vendors in many amazing markets, such as:

·        the Georgetown Farmer’s Market

·        the Hops and Harvest Festival, Milton

·        the Downtown Milton Miracle On Main

·        the Georgetown Holiday Market

·        the Winter Twinkle Express, Milton

We were so lucky to share ideas and reach out to learners through:

·        a workshop in the British Columbia Social Science Teachers Association Online Conference

·        creating learning materials and videos for the Exclusively Inclusive public arts project, with Arts Milton

And of course, we had time to produce some new materials and catch a little praise for last year’s releases:

·        Four new books in French, including La Symphonie de Benjamin, Réfléchissons-y!: Place à la Réflexion!, Selon Phil and Les Bricoleurs-Penseurs Et Les Bricoleuses-Penseuses

·        Two awards for Benny’s Symphony (Independent Press Award, Distinguished Favourite, Next Generation Indie Book Awards, Finalist), and a 5-star review from Reader Views

·        The release of our newest book/interactive eBook Idunno, as well as a 5-star review from Reader Views

Like everyone, we’re ready for a rest, but we’ll be back in the new year, jumping into all kinds of cool events and creating new ways to help young minds think critically. If you’re looking to give a little thinker a head start on 2023, definitely load up their bookshelf and devices, and check out our video and resource pages.

To our team, our partners, and all of the big and little thinkers who’ve checked out our stuff, we’d like to say thank you for your support and your big questions. We wish all of you the most amazing new year!
