Is The Year Really Almost Over?

Whoosh! Another year is almost ready to be put to bed, and we’re all ready to have a rest too. We’ve had so many wonderful adventures in 2023, we just had to share some highlights.

We’ve been lucky enough to be included in events like:

·      Arts Milton’s Friendship Project, as a workshop facilitator.

·      The Milton Youth Market, as a vendor.

·      Hamilton’s Imagine in The Park kids’ art festival, as activity facilitators.

·      The Guelph and District Multicultural Festival, doing readings and running an activity centre.

·      Halton Pride Fest, as a story time presenter.

·      The Eden Mills Writers’ Festival, as a vendor.

·      Milton Culture Days, as a virtual story time presenter.

·      Conservation Halton’s Hops and Harvest festival, as a story time presenter and a vendor.

·      The Milton Santa Claus Parade, as a float!

·      The Commissioner of Yukon’s Guest Reading Program, as a presenter for two of our stories.

When we weren’t out and about making friends, we were busy creating all kinds of new materials for little thinkers. These included:

·      Our first books in Spanish!

·      More books in French!

·      “That’s What They Said”, our new book/interactive eBook (with even more cool content added recently) in English.

·      A new series of animated shorts to help inspire the development of thinking skills.

So what’s up for 2024? Well, when we’re finished having a long winter snooze and some snacks, we’ll be back at it with new stories, upgrades to some of our existing materials, and lots of new ways to engage the community of little thinkers.

To all the little (and big) thinkers who read, listened to, watched, and played with our materials, a big, warm thank you! More than ever, the world needs you to keep asking big questions and having wonderful conversations about them. However you celebrate, we wish you the very best of the season, and a new year positively brimming with new ideas.

Happy thinking, and happy holidays!
